Our Approach

Our team is extensively trained, specializing in providing support for individuals with intricate and demanding requirements, such as:

  • Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Downs Syndrome
  • Dementia
  • Communication support needs
  • Sensory and physical support needs (e.g., mobility support needs)
  • Substance abuse (drugs and alcohol)
  • Dual diagnosis – individuals with learning disabilities coupled with additional mental illness and behavioral challenges

We actively promote the development of skills in the individuals we support, empowering them to live safely and with greater independence, allowing them to make decisions about their preferred lifestyles.

Services

We provide a range of learning disability services, including:

  1. Supported Living
  2. Domiciliary Care delivered within your own home
  3. Respite services and short breaks
  4. Individual Support Service – offering assistance within individuals’ homes and facilitating community access
  5. Registered Residential Care Services, Additionally, we are establishing an enhanced social care service (high-intensity service) tailored for high-risk individuals with specific accommodation needs transitioning from a hospital or other institutional settings to residences within Leicester city, Leicestershire, and Rutland areas. This initiative is designed to support individuals with complex and diverse needs.
  6. We also offer a Step-Down Service, aiming to make a significant contribution to the Transforming Care Programme. Our goal is to minimize unnecessary admissions and provide the necessary support for individuals to maintain independence. Serenity Inmind intends to collaborate with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) and Adult Social Care Services, leveraging national best practices to enhance “step-down” support and community provisions for service users transitioning from secure inpatient mental health and Learning Disability Units once they are well enough.
